I need to hook up a couple of large drives for video editing. Is there a no
frills sata controller with 4 internal ports?
I checked newegg but nothing stands out particularly. One of the promise

I can't find the motherboard drivers in the Add Remove Programs.   So,

the current drivers so I won't run into conflicts when booting up with
the new board.

In the Dell Dimension DIM 2400 is there anything
peculiar or non-standard about the RAM?   I propose
adding RAM to a friend's slow Dell unit, have not  yet
uncased it, and I remember annoying difficulties (years ago)

Replacing monitor on Insipron 930029 Aug 2008 10:51 GMT6
My monitor is a 17 inch UltraSharp Wide Screen XGA+ Display.  A few
months ago vertical line running from top to bottom appeared about a
half inch from the left edge.  It wasn't too annoying, but a week or
two ago another one came in about 3 inches from the right.  Now I have

TV on PC and VCR after 2/17/0929 Aug 2008 01:34 GMT2
It occurs to me that unless I'm hooking up converter boxes to our two
computers by 2/17/09 I won't be able to watch TV on our PCs any longer when
the country goes digital. Additionally the VCR (s) won't be able to record
TV programs any longer without a converter box.

Dell model DHM won't boot26 Aug 2008 20:20 GMT4
Another corpse from the dumpster, but this one may stay dead.
When powered, the cooling fan for the cpu runs, as doesn the PS
fan.  The hard drive spins up, the LED on the mobo lights
up, and that's about it.  No video.
