Hello I have a 80G hD I want to install it in my computer for extra storgae space. But I think It had a bad Virus on. If I install in my will it get the virus on my PC that I am trying to out it into. Please help. I Have Norton Antivirus 2008.

I need to hook up a couple of large drives for video editing. Is there a no frills sata controller with 4 internal ports? I checked newegg but nothing stands out particularly. One of the promise card with 4 ports is $60 but does not pass smart info.

Supposed to be plug and play. Made sure mouse and keyboard worked with new box before swapping. Installed each devices drivers, and when plugged directly into box recognized and work fine. (PS2 ports) Boot up new machine with switch, no mouse or keyboard. Not supposed to

I can't find the motherboard drivers in the Add Remove Programs. So, how do I remove them? I'm about to change MBs and I want to remove the current drivers so I won't run into conflicts when booting up with the new board.

In the Dell Dimension DIM 2400 is there anything peculiar or non-standard about the RAM? I propose adding RAM to a friend's slow Dell unit, have not yet uncased it, and I remember annoying difficulties (years ago)

hopefully,this would be my last question and i should have 3-5 years of trouble-free computing experience. i know that 48-bit lba has solved the 137gb limit. but isn't there another barrier just above that, like around 500gb?

It occurs to me that unless I'm hooking up converter boxes to our two computers by 2/17/09 I won't be able to watch TV on our PCs any longer when the country goes digital. Additionally the VCR (s) won't be able to record TV programs any longer without a converter box.

I backup movies I own onto my PC. Problem is, the PC is in the (finished) basement. HDTV is in the bedroom. Do i burn the movies to CD? Or do I build some kind of smaller PC to go in the bedroom?

Another corpse from the dumpster, but this one may stay dead. When powered, the cooling fan for the cpu runs, as doesn the PS fan. The hard drive spins up, the LED on the mobo lights up, and that's about it. No video.
