My cousin bought a HP PC based on Intel G33 chipset.
The SATA mode of the chipset by default is IDE and JBOD mode,
and Vi$ta was installed.
Could I just go to the BIOS to reset the mode to SATA II mode

Too lazy to go to Microsoft's website and confirmed this, but I've

Am I loosing the plot with SATA. This board comes with 2 SATA
connections. Older motherboards came with 2 IDEs. The IDEs had master

From other info I have read I get the picture that it should be running at
1.3GHz but win xp and the boot up is saying only 1GHz even with the CPU ...

I have put together a pc from spare parts I got the mobo that someone threw
out so I collected it but the boot up is reverting back to factory defaults
and the clock changes back to a past time in win xp so I think it is the
mobo battery, I tried leaving the pc on for 12 hours ...

It uses two batteries (second one is for BIOS):
-pa8725u (14.4V 2.2AH NiMH) shows 0,45VDC
-XZ0072P09 (6V NiCad) shows 0VDC
