hi frnds
just few month back only  i bought a second hand computer i am not
that much good in computer hardware knowledge.  task bar manger is not
working , and in the same time processing speed is very low few times

I have two hard drives on an XP Pentium IV--a Western Digital about
five years old, as old as the processor, and a brand new Seagate.  I
have a CD-ROM and nothing else on the tower except fans.

*May be a CDROM, but CDROM can be removed after building a storage.

I cant figure this out. I have been scouring the internet for a few

hey i've a little problem with my computer. on turning it on, i get a
black screen asking if i want to open it in safe mode or normal mode
because it wasn't closed down right and whichever you click, a blue
screen pops up. on the blue screen it has some technical information

I'm stuck between Brisbane vs Windsor processors.  There's a lot on the
net about which is better or worse, hotter or cooler, 65 nm vs 89 nm
(whatever an "nm" is), etc, etc, etc.  I think I'm on information
overload.  I've sort of narrowed my choices down to being between,

I just got a new 512md memory stick, can install this one in addition

Whether I play from dvd or internet streaming video I see yellow dots
pixels randomly all over the screen is it due to bad card ?

I expect someone here will have a good idea about this...
As of yesterday, my PC running WinXP has started crashing (rebooting)
pretty regularly every 10-30 minutes.  Even if I am not using it and
just leave it on.   I haven't added/removed any software or hardware

The board's an ABIT KV7-V with a VIA KT-600 chipset.  There's an
onboard SATA (Sil-3112 controller) RAID , which is the boot drive
(striped).
I've added another SATA drive (for backup) using a Vantec Serial ATA

Just installed a Sapphire 2900xt graphics card in my xp based system, now
I've been having all these problems with the desktop going blank and locking
