4 RAM slots slowdown09 Jun 2007 10:12 GMT10
When I fill all 4 memory slots with GEIL 1 Gb modules, systems becomes very
slow, i.e. unsable.
With 3 or less modules, no problems.
Any ideas?
What do you do with old computers?09 Jun 2007 07:13 GMT16
Say you've got a bunch of old obsolete but working PCs, including a
386SX, a 486, and an Apple ][. Would you part them out, try to sell
them intact, donate them, toss 'em? Who would use old stuff like this
these days?

AMIBIOS Screen - Help08 Jun 2007 06:05 GMT3
I've recently purchased a 7800GS AGP card for my aging system, as well as a
Hitachi 320gb SATA HD.
I had to reset the CMOS battery by switching the jumpers in my MSI
motherboard. Now, when I boot up my machine, I get the AMIBIOS boot up screen
Rebooted and my computer won't boot up.08 Jun 2007 05:06 GMT64
Earlier today, I was doing stuff in Debian like upgrading my Kernel
(2.6.18 with an updated package) and rebooted. The computer never
rebooted and it just got stuck (I think after shutdown -r now told it to
reboot -- shutdown seems to have completed).

A few days ago, I noticed powering on my computer showed MSI splash

I was hoping it was a hiccup. I powered off the machine off and on to

I just bought a Linksis WRT54GL wireless router (May 28), and everything was
fine. Upgraded the firmware to the latest version with no trouble.
No problems connecting my two laptops wirelessly, or my desktop via RJ45
cable through the router to my home network, or getting on the ...
thumb drive problem with Windows 9807 Jun 2007 18:04 GMT32
I was told to just put the drive in the USB slot and it
would work. Having been led to believe it would take
care of everything by itself, when it asked about
drives I just hit the next buttons thinking it would
