Im running XP Pro SP2
My PC runs pretty well most of the time however by pure fluke I recently
found that I cannot start my system in safe mode.
When I try to boot into safe mode I get the stop error

I wanted a few new parts for my comp build and selected a well known UK
company who listed all the parts as In Stock showing around 10 items each.

Here's the problem.  I boot the computer and it sounds like the HD's
start up.  However, my keyboard does not  power up.  When I hit the
caps lock key, the light doesn't appear. which is odd.  Also, my
monitor doesn't accept any input from the mouse or keyboard and stays

Hi does anyone know of compatibility issues between different brands of
memory modules or motherboards? I have bought 2 second hand 512 mb pc3200
modules and on of them brings up a dram error beep at post when installed.

Ok, really dumb question here everyone - where on the motherboard do I
connect the speakers from the cabinet? I've read through the manual -
the diagram on page 11 doesn't show it, and the helpful section on
page 26 doesn't show a picture and has the helpful text "The speaker

I just built a computer using parts from an old machine. P4 on a
Biostar P4M80-M4 motherboard. Everything runs great, but the
motherboard always seems to be on. I can shut down and the lights on
the front will eventually go off, but the monitor freezes on that

My P4S5A mobo, upon startup, only recognizes 256mb of sram, which was
initially in the computer before i added 1.5 ddr. it prompts me to F1
setup, F2 to load initial settings...i get past the menus, and it
prompts me to run the computer in safe mode...i do so, and the computer
