REVERSE Conspiracy Theory30 Nov 2006 22:13 GMT1
Just talked to a tech. He says that the future of PC
monitors is we will run our apps in "scalable windows"
including our games, and the full screen will be
dedicated to "BlueTooth" and digital HDTV. Hmm

Why stop at this newsgroup?  This group use to be normal until you decided
to come here and show everyone how great you are and call people fuckwits.
The are many other groups to ruin as well, like the ASUS groups.

CPU fan making a LOT of noise29 Nov 2006 21:43 GMT1
I work as a volunteer at this studentcafé/-bar in norway, and the
computer in our office makes more noise than the 50 or so kids playing
football (its a really, really large footballfield) outside the house.
I opened the cabinet, and managed to locate the sinner: the cpu-fan.
Acquiring Licensing For WMP29 Nov 2006 21:25 GMT2
Sometimes when I try to view a video, WMP wants to acquire a license.
I'm thinking this is bad but I don't know.  I'd rather not download
anything that would help someone destabilize my precariously balanced
XP.  Suggestions?  Can it cause problems to download a license needed

Does it matter how you connect an LCD Monitor - Sorry if this is a dupe post - my error, agent trouble29 Nov 2006 12:54 GMT3
I have an LCD monitor and an "older" computer.  I have an adapter on
my computer to go from video out to VGA(?) out.  When I get my new
computer with a new video card, should I go from the Digital out to
the Digital input on the monitor, or does it make a difference?

After looking over your posts, you seem to have a history of throwing around
words like 'fuckwit', etc.

New WD 160GB HDD only makes noise on winxp28 Nov 2006 22:18 GMT56
I have an odd (to me) problem. But I'm sure it has a "change this
setting" solution.
I added a new WD Caviar 160GB HD (ATA-100) to my computer. I
partitioned it into 40GB NTFS and 120GB reiserfs. This drive is set as
win xp ver 928 Nov 2006 22:15 GMT2
How is this version? New computer with version 8 and it runs 'shakey'. I had
the same version on an old computer and it was solid. So I don't know if I
shoud look at the new computer or the version 9 upgrade as the new computer
is geared towards speed and games. Like it handles ...
