Am planning to build a fast and quiet system very soon. I have already bought an ANTEC SOLO case and an ANTEC TP-550 power supply (too big? loud?). My case has a 120 MM 3-speed case fan with room for 2 additonal fans in front of where the HDD's go.

Put the box together like this: 865PEDA Mobo, 1 - IDE drive on secondary IDE channel (80-wire cable CS-jumpered on the drive plugged in the second IDE socket - black)

I have a problem with CPU temperature. It has constant temp 60-70 degreese and cca 2500 RPM. First, is it normal temp? If it's not what should i do to level it down? I have PC AMD Athlon 2.5GHz,1GB DDR, 80GB Maxtor, etc.etc.etc...

I have now a non-HT 2.53GHz, 512KB, 533MHz, Socket 478 CPU. Would an: *HT* 3.06GHz, 512KB, 533MHz, Socket 478 CPU ...speed up my systems graphics noticeably?

Computer started acting up a little while ago, would go to turn it on, fans would come on, HDD LED goes on for a bit, optical drives light up for their check, but NO POST beep(s), and then nothing (on screen). Keep trying, nothing. Turn off, come back some other time, turn on, ...

Now I'd like to know if I can put a HDD of 120 or 160Go with 4 partitions with Windows 2000 SP4? The bios accept only larger than 82 Go. (maximum 82 Go) Do I need a special soft for this?

I realize this is herasy, but is it possible to send an Xbox360 output to a standard lcd video monitor? Or would it be possible to send the output to a tv tuner like the Hauppauge 350 pci card in my PC ?

This might be a very stupid question, but I am new to this building game. Is it possible to get a power supply that is to powerful for the motherboard? Like a Enermax Liberty 500 Watt for an INTEL D865PERL motherboard for example? Or even one more powerful like a 600 Watt? etc..?

hi guys, I have a problem with my usb flask disk. After I installed the usb filter patch I could no longer used it, My pc wont detect my usb anymore, it would light then goes out when plug on the usb port on my motherboard.

I am going to remove/uninstall a LucentWin K56 V90 modem and replace it with a V.92 U.S. Robotics Modem #USR5699B . Does anyone have any special uninstall/remove instructions and installation instructions?
