A neighbor of mine is using a 10 year old Dell running Windows 95. The 8 gig hard drive is partitioned into a 2 gig primary (the C:\ drive), and an extended partition of three 2 gig logical drives. All of them FAT, not FAT32.

ive installed an Epox 4BDA with a 400mhz p4 and 2x256mb ddr ram. i have an agp graphics card in it. when i turn the machine on the fans power up etc, but i get a completely blank screen and a stange beep code.

Not sure if right newsgroup, but here goes :) Got a problem with my HD's, and before I go off and buy new ones, thought I would come on here and hope some helpful soul can offer any advice.

I am trying to connect a Toshiba 160GB external HDD via USB2.0 to win98se. According to the manual the HDD is only suited for win2000 and XP. Win98se recognizes which HDD I want to connect when I plug it in, but proceeds by asking me to provide the correct driver - which I do

My computer shuts down before fully booting, even in safe mode. I have fitted a new CPU cooler and cleaned the PSU fans but still cannot boot. The problem started when I fitted a new CPU cooler. The computer would eventually only work when on its side (?) and then refused to boot ...

Either way...pushing the button or software "eject", the CD drive (Asus S480/AH) opens and immediately closes. Will not stay open. Any work-around? Windows XP Home.
