Does it make any difference on Windows 2000?

Decided its time to upgrade...
...not a gamer but want a top notch pc......

can't fot the life of me fit any CD or DVD drives into the 5-1/4" drive

Hi there. there seems to be a problem with my installation cd not
containing the right drivers for xp.  Its a sata controller card made
by asound computers international (A-6421)(via vt6421 raid controller
in device manager).  theyre website doesnt have any drivers as well.

I installed the card and everything works fine but from pc turnon
