P4 upgrade19 Jan 2006 13:59 GMT4
A Open AX4GE-N motherboard, Intel chipset GE version.
Wondering about the Prescott P4, and what's required for it to work on a
Williamette/Northwood only motherboard.  What happens if one installs the
Prescott on such a motherboard?  Just doesn't work?  Something burns up?

I recently came across the ASRock 939 Dual-SATA2 motherboard while I have

Anyone seen a simple extension cable for the newer 24pin ATX PSU power

Old monitor, new video card. Compatible?18 Jan 2006 16:27 GMT20
I just completed a new home build. This time I set up on a workbench in my
basement and worked on the project at my leisure. Nice. (Unlike the "gotta
make time" method!) Now I'm thinking I want to set up the software the same
way: on the workbench, when it's all set up and ready ...
how 2 identify video ram chips on a graphics card ?18 Jan 2006 16:26 GMT1
I'm always trying to get a good deal on used graphics cards.  I really wish
I had a reference of the part numbers on the common video ram chips so I
could tell how much memory is on the card without having it plugged into my
PC.  Does anybody know where I can find a webpage that has ...

I am looking for an answer to a question which has been bugging me for

I'm currently building a new computer. I chose an Asus A8n-SLI Premium

I just read that AMD has stopped production on Socket-939 with their
latest FX-60, and will be switching to Socket-AM2 for DDR2 support Q2
