how do you make a linux bootable disc, i have a dvd distro, yet i am
struggling to make it bootable. it boots up then just hangs there for no
reason. i am using nero to burn the image file.

i recently installed linux on a different partition to windows, quiet
naturally it wrote its own bootloader on the mbr, now i got rid of linux
because it kept on crashing on start up but the bootloader menu keeps coming
up and i want to get rid of it. is it possible to get rid of ...

Hope someone out there can help me.  I formatted the hard drive on my
laptop.  That successfully done I was about to load win 98 on when I
lost power (in house) to laptop.  When I did get power again this is
where the fun began.

I have been trying to make a decision on a 19" LCD display in the mid price
range.  I want it to be able to play the latest games as well as watch
movies and process some video from my DV camera.
So far  have narrowed it down to the Samsung 930BF 19" LCD or the Viewsonic

Moved all components from Aopen AX4GEN to Gigabyte GA-8IPE100 Pro-G
motherboard.  Original cpu was Celeron 2.4GHz 128 2nd level cache, to
Pentium Prescott 2.4 GHz 1MB cache  845 to 865 chipset difference.  Not much
of change in my opinion.  Both using Award bios.

Canon i255 stopped printing??? it shows the lights green and orange and

I want to connect my Sony Stereo Audio System instead of stereo
speakers. When I connected to lineout of my pc through stereo 3 pin
it results in strong noise/humm on both channels (L & R ). Still

I'm getting memory errors reported with some corsair XMS Twinx2048-3200c2.
With the motherboard settings at default (mostly AUTO), memtest86 says

I think it is a form of a SIS 471 but I as of yet don;t know for sure.

My system has run out of controllers for HDs.  It has three HD and one
