My Western Digital external USB 500GB disk has been working for months
on a variety of  Windows XP Home & Professional machines but all of a
sudden, it is found in Windows but Windows says it's a RAW disk with
no data.

I have an xp home machine that wont boot.
It gets as far as checking the CD for a bootable disk and then fails on the
hard drive. The last line of the screen reads: yoyo
well not really yoyo . it looks like that , but on inspection the o in yoyo

Hi everyone, my brother has bought an HP Pavilion EG780AA a1228.uk and I've
found me self volunteered to reformat the HD, re-install the O/S etc !
All seems to be fine with the PC except that the fan is driving me mad it's
SO noisy.

What would this mean by the ram memories, it's showing some bit
informations on every module (8x8, 16x16, 1Mx36P), and the
infrastructure of ram memory modules, but informationally for a base to

I'm planning on installing a new 320 gig IDE HDD in my computer. I
bought this computer in May 2003, so I'm not sure if my BIOS and IDE
can handle the full capacity. (In other words, whether it supports 48-
bit LBA.) I have a report from Everest that says these:

images as big as 700meg that do the job well, but I need something larger

I have six external hard drives, varying in size but all manufactured
by Western Digital. I got WD because I thought they were the most
reliable and least likely to fail.
Unfortunately, over the last six months two of them  (a 500Gb & a 1Tb)
