I installed a Maxtor SATA 500 GB hard drive. It runs quite a bit warmer (hotter) than my 80 GB IDE hard drive. I cannot touch it for more than 5 seconds, without letting go. Is this normal for such a big hard drive? Is the temp of a drive depending

Following the installation of XP SP3 my D-Link driver ceased working. This was and is a know D-Link problem. A DLL file had been overwritten by the update and placed the software over a table and was giving it a continual rogering.

My computer was fully functional until one day all the problems started. When I push the power button, all the fans start spinning (video card, processor, motherboard, etc.) but nothing is booting. All the hardware gets power power but for whatever reason nothing happens.

My desktop computer will not boot when I have my Maxtor OneTouch 4 plugged in the USB. If I connect the hardrive after the computer have started up, it works just fine. if I connect the harddrive to my laptop it works perfect.
