Hello group
Recently I  was dismayed why my USB drive was not recognized anymore
by window explorer. Therefore if I  plug it on the USB slot it does
nothing. I searched the web for some ideas and came from this fellow

I tried to use an old computer today and it was
diving drive errors, I had not used the comp for
over a year, it is possible the drives have seized up?

Please don't knock me for asking such a simplistic question, but I've
just had my eyes opened as to what a soundcard does, and I feel an
utter buffoon! This is what I, rightly or wrongly, used to think:-
1. A soundcard is needed to produce all those beep and pings etc. that

My computer will not boot when I have my Maxtor OneTouch 4 plugged
in the USB. If I connect the hardrive after the computer have started
up,
it works just fine. What is the problem ?

I have a 120 GB hard drive that my RAID controller encountered an
error with, so I am trying to wipe it and return it to the
manufacturer.  But when I use Copywipe to wipe it, Copywipe encounters
an error at 52%.  It asks me if I want to continue, and I enter Y, but

Is there any drawback in using a sata controller in the form of a pci card?
The plan is to disable the onboard IDE and keep the onboard sata plus the
sata card.

I'm looking for the most reliable floppy disc media. (1440KB)
Does anybody know of a site that has actually tested various brands of
floppy media?  Or a research report perhaps?

I have a 7 year old computer with XP pro Sp2. Pentium 4, 1.5 GB, 512 Ram. It
is running fine. My motherboard is an old MSI 845 pro. Everything is running
great, except I am running out of storage.
The MainBoard has 4 IDE connections which are taken up by ATA C Drive

I tried one of the bad drives again (as a Primary Master boot drive),
and now I see that I have an error message:
WINDOWS COULD NOT START BECAUSE OF A COMPUTER DISK HARDWARE
