Can someone give me a check list to help me solve why my computer is shutting down without warning. I have had the 550W power supply checked on another computer with similar load and it is okay. The shutdown can be during post pup to a a few minutes after windows XP SP2

I' ve a Buffalo Terastation (old model with IDE disk). My idea now is to change internal disks with 4 new disks (of 1TB each). I was thinking to buy SATA disk (I can't find IDE disk of 1TB).

I just bought a new 22" monitor and for a while was running it on my old system with onboard intel graphics. Native resolution is 1680 x 1050, but this makes everything too small and blurry. On the old machine I was able to run 1600x900 which was comfortable - on my normal machine ...

I have a section of lower-level ceiling behind drywall next to the rim joist that is cold. I'd like to insulate it. I remember reading in this newsgroup that someone took a leaf blower and blew cellulose with some success.

Most of my equipment runs at 1gbit/sec and can support jumbo frames. I do have a laptop that only does 100mbit/sec, as does my internet cable modem. If I change my gigabit PC's to use jumbo frames what will happen to the connection to my laptop or cable modem?

My keyboard female (motherboard side) connector has gone dud so I bought a USB keyboard which works fine....except that it does not allow me access to Bios. I have since been told that I must make changes in Bios (Legacy) to have the USB keyboard accepted

I just bought a WinPRV Vista713X card and the when I do a video capture of my camcorder, captures great but NO AUDIO. mY camcorder is an old model that uses a standard A/V single plug coming out of the camera but with a RCA plug on the other end.
