I am hoping for a little advice.  I have an ancient Dell Inspiron 8000
with WME on it.  Its ok, but tonight after rebooting for Mcaffee
antivirus update, it simply will not boot.  I press the start

I've got a pc where the usb ports wont work, and floppy only sometimes
works.
Reinstalled assuming these problems were down to a very messed up OS,

Can I pinmod an Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 to reduce the voltage, therefore heat
output, therefore cooling fan speeds? I can only find pinmods for upping the
voltage for overclocking. I have read that they can run as low as 1.1v, but
can't find out how.

I have (a friend with) an a60 laptop (toshiba I think) which is only
reporting 192mb of its installed 256mb ram and is otherwise running too
slow to be usable. It runs XP and, apparently, used to be quite happy.

I have a friend who has a Dell laptop that will not boot. When she boots it
with the power cord plugged in, it starts to boot and then shuts off. With
the battery removed, it seems to work better, but still shuts off. Sometimes
she can get it to boot a little into Windows, but ...

My grandma has an old computer that she is wanting to use as a word
processor.  The system is a Dell Optiplex, 300 Mhz Pentium 2, with 192
MB of ram.  I installed Win98 on there, and it took FOREVER.  14 hours
to be exact.

hi, I have a some problems with my Acer aspire laptop, first off all
the hinge above the ac in plug has developed a crack, and secondly the
hinge above the ac plug and the middle hinge are coming away from the
unit, it has a 2mm gap in-between the hinge and the unit itself I am
