I am looking at upgrading my system, to an Intel Core2 Duo - E6600, with an
Asus P5B-E mb, and 2gb ddr2 ram.
I have built, mainly AMD systems in the past, and would typically get a

I really like the Microsoft 4000 keyboard, but can't use it on my
older computer because the BIOS doesn't support USB keyboards.
I've used other USB keyboards on this PC without any problems using a
simple USB to ps/2 adapter. The MS 4000 keyboard doesn't work with

When I booted up my computer the other day, I got the message
"CPU fan has failed" and it shut back down. Today I bought a
new fan, and installed it. It still does not work!  :crybaby: My
husband took the old fan and hooked it to a battery and it worked just

I've just had the misfortune to suffer a burn out on Maxtor 250Gb SATA
drive, on closer inspection it seems the 'smooth' chip has self combusted.

I've just had to replace my PSU after the last one started smoking.  My new
PSU only has a single fan (the last had 2) and as a result I've noticed that
my PC temperatures are up.
My motherboard goes up to 41C and the CPU to around 61C when in use.  I have

I was using my 2.5 yrs old Inspiron 600m laptop. It was plugged to the

connection, I can see all the starting sequence : post, lilo, launch of
