My Gateway experience: Delivery took six weeks. It came with wrong software disk and authorization code(MS Office) and the wrong mouse. That took another week and a half to get.

I have a new 710XL with the LCD FPD1830 monitor. It came with the analog VGA cable to the NVidia card. The video is nice. I purchased a digital cable at Best Buy ($60) and connected it and it also works fine. I am wondering what differences I should be seeing? I havent

I know this may seem stupid, but I am really wondering about this. I ordered a new Gateway 500X Performance (with a few upgrades), but since I already have a flat-screen monitor (LCD), I decided to NOT get a monitor with it.

the cmos/clock battery of my solo 1450 laptop need to be replaced, i called gateway for help, even chatted with one technician online, but they can't (won't) tell me how and where the cmos battery is located. anyone with a solo 1450 laptop has been through the same problem?

Where do you adjust "hovering," i.e. when I move the pointer over a link it just continues to go there to the link w/o me clicking in order to go there ;-(. It can become a real nuisance while using the 'touchpad.' Regards, Bruno

Still cant get my i.e. to function correctly. If I delete the program in control panel, will I be able to reinstall just my i.e. off the win xp disc, without it harming anything else? Could the reinstall of this possibly solve my problem, of error

Is the Intel PIII 600/512/100 2.05V SLOT 1 SL3F7 the right CPU for a G6-450 PII. I have a G6-450 w/ a MBD PII/BX TB2 W/AUD JABIL RI 100FBS Motherboard. I find a lot of SL3JM but very few SL3F7 stamped on the side. What is the differenes between the SL3F7 and the SL3JM chips?

I bought a new Toshiba A35-S159 laptop. Unfortunately, at the the Gateway country store there was no one there (several times!) that wanted to answer my basic questions about wireless. I don't know how they expect to sell computers? But, their emphasis seems to be on TVs

I have two hard drives. C has WinXP installed and is formatted as NTFS. D which is 10GB and is used for backups is formatted as FAT32. Is there any way to convert D to NTFS while it still has 225MBs of files installed on it? Thanks.
