| Replacement Motherboard error message | 27 Mar 2008 04:21 GMT | 4 |
I replaced my motherboard with one from eBay. It seems to be unstable and seems to be affected by heat, but a very large problem seems to be an error message I keep getting on a gray background from Dell that states a module connected to the D-Bay attached to the docking port is ...

| Poweredge 2650 firmware updates | 27 Mar 2008 00:44 GMT | 4 |
Does Dell provide a download of a bootable image for updating all of the firmware on these servers? I asked this a bit ago but I atached it to a thread of a different problem I had encountered and I though it probably deserved its own

This may not be the correct place to post this question but I could find a better place other than http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/. I did post this same question there but have not yet gotten an answer so I thought I would try here as well.

| How to rid your PC of spyware | 26 Mar 2008 18:32 GMT | 2 |
It may sometimes seem as though the traditional short list of perils one cannot avoid ought to be expanded to: 'death, taxes, and spyware'. But all you need to get rid of spyware is the right tool-AyRecovery First a couple of warnings: removing spyware is as much art as it is

| Dell Widescreen UltraSharp 2405FPW 24" LCD | 26 Mar 2008 05:59 GMT | 1 |
I have the option to pick one of these 24" monitors up second hand. It is a 2006 model, no warranty remaining and has 1 dead pixel 1cm from the bottom, 4cm from the left. I can buy a new Samsung 24" with 3 years warranty for $560 Australian, just wondering what you think the Dell ...

While trying to fix a pc, I notice my laptop (e1405, xp media, 2 gigs ram, core2duo) behaving badly. I didn't really take notice but after several log ons, it got worst. Eventually got a blue screen then progressed to a different blue screen. I managed to get back to safe

| Wow -- that's some servers | 26 Mar 2008 00:11 GMT | 7 |
I had an opportunity to tour my company's data center today. What an incredible facility. They actually measure disk space in petabytes. Once we've passed the mainframes, the mid-range machines, etc., we get to the server farm.

| Power supply in an Optiplex 755 Minitower | 25 Mar 2008 23:39 GMT | 4 |
I'm thinking about buying the Optiplex 755 Minitower. Will this computer take a standard ATX power supply that I can get from anywhere like newegg.com? The "tech specs" don't talk about this. http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails ...

| Dimension 9150 Graphics Card with more Game Power | 25 Mar 2008 19:30 GMT | 2 |
The PC (one and a half year old) came with a GeForce 7300 LE which is doing very well, but I would like more Game power. 1. Would GeForce 7300 GT be a good choice? 2. Where do I get a compatible card? Dell or elsewhere?

| Can the Dell wireless 1390 card be replaced by user? | 25 Mar 2008 15:24 GMT | 23 |
My Inspiron 9400 with Vista Ultimate takes forever (a minute usually) to reconnect to my Linksys G access point after resuming from either Sleep or Hibernation. It apparently is related to the Vista driver for this card (I have a spare HD with XP installed for this same machine ...

Ok, you all (specifically Basill) were extremely helpful with my last issue (strange text on PE display) thanks for that. Moving on thru the process of setting this machine up here is the next issue. When I look in the machines case I see it has a RAID DIMM and a RAID

| Dell vs HP PC's | 24 Mar 2008 23:34 GMT | 34 |
I am still looking to replace my 5 year old Dell desktop. The thing that keeps me looking for another brand is the poor / no service that Dell has shown me in the past. A friend of mine suggested looking at the HP line. Perhaps this is the wrong forum to ask this question on, but ...
