Inspiron 6000 disassembly20 Jun 2007 16:46 GMT7
My daughter's 6000 is having problems.  Surprise surprise, the power
connector is flaky.  I've tried more than one power supply, so it is the
connector on the motherboard.
I have completely disassembled it (Dell's docs are great -- anybody that
Can I move a floppy from a Dell 8400 to an E520?20 Jun 2007 16:17 GMT5
I'm probably getting a E520 system and wanted to know if I could
easily move the floppy drive from my Dell 8400 to the E520 upon
arrival? Likewise will the black faceplate I take off of the E520 fit
back in the 8400 where the floppy drive was located?
I goofed - Help20 Jun 2007 12:26 GMT13
I just purchased an Inspiron E1505. Got a great deal on the laptop with a
recent coupon (got the t7200 processor). Anyway, I got Vista on the laptop.
Actually, I don't think I had a choice by purchasing thru Dell Home. I'm
already having some issues with certain software. For ...

GeForce 7300 LE Questions20 Jun 2007 10:04 GMT17
I'm looking at getting a E520 system in the next few days. I'm
considering the GeForce 7300 LE. Dell says that this card has 256 MB
of Ram. However according to Nvidia's site, there are two versions one
with 128 and the other with 256 of onboard RAM.

The middle of May, I ordered an Inspiron 1705 configured for wireless
operation. I also ordered several pieces of accessory equipment, including a
wireless router.
The shipment was split without explanation. The computer was received as
The Dell All in One Printer20 Jun 2007 03:49 GMT6
When you think of Dell, you automatically think of personal computers and laptops. Dell doesn’t just make computers, though. Dell is also known as one of the most reliable brands for computer printers. The quality and compatibility make a Dell printer a good choice for all your ...

What to do(Second time around)20 Jun 2007 02:01 GMT13
Well, I have spent an hour or so every business day last week attempting to
contact some one in Dell Customer Service that was in Texas. No luck.
Imagine my surprise when I received an email late yesterday confirming that
I had canceled the remainder of my order. I had not done so ...
Inspiron power off with power button?19 Jun 2007 13:44 GMT4
I notice the Inspiron 1200 manual says CAUTION not to power off with
the power button but rather with the start menu, to avoid loss of
data.
Can that be right?  The O/S wanders around doing stuff, presumably

I would like to install the reader on another computer without having
to download it. Since it is a free program there should not be a
e1405 discontinued??16 Jun 2007 23:15 GMT4
We went to the Dell site to buy another one, and there is no
14.1" unit listed in HOME. The 630M appears to be new, though.
Why use a number smaller than the predecessor?
