I have a Dell E510 that came preinstalled with 1GB of RAM.  I just added
two Kingston 512MB RAM chips, boosting the system total to 2GB.  Everything

What was the final Vista release called before the retail version was
out?  
Can you dual boot Vista ?  I'm thinking of using XP with Vista 2nd on
either my dim 4500, xps 410 or one of my newer laptops (core2duos).

I know (from listening and reading) that Vista isn't really ready for
prime time tho it supposedly went on sale.  I don't know if the retail
version is much different than those releases just before it.  That
said, for those that have tried it recently, what programs do NOT yet

I was watching a movie @youtube.com; Suddently the computer gave 4
long beeps and shuts down… I pushed the button in front of the
computer to start it again, the computer again gave 4 long beeps, and
I heard a extrem loud sound (sounds like a Hard disk reading or fan).

I have been experiencing problems with my DELL Inspiron 5100 that have
left me infuriated with the laptop.  I am going to list the problems
below and would appreciate any help or suggestions in fixing the

I have an L400 where the screen was just ruined.  I'm shopping around
on eBay for laptops and I'm interested in the D400/D600's.   Will I be
able to use my old power supply, battery, and CD/Floppy drive with
