My ancient Dell G1 is kept upstairs for the use of my parents.
I figure the thing is worth next to nowt now and there isn't much room to

We get shipments of dells in all the time. I've noticed that the 620's
are running pretty hot when just sitting on a desk.  Flip them over
and there is a visible fan and most of the time it doesn't spin.
I think Dell needs to update the bios and turn on the fan more often
