This is awful!
Our computer has been acting strange lately and system restore has
helped but not fixed the problems.....So we used our Trueimage backup
disk. Thinking a full backup would be great in case of disaster.

noisy fan30 Apr 2006 06:17 GMT9

HardOCP Article: Dell XPS Sans Bloatware30 Apr 2006 04:05 GMT13

PC2700 and Dell - all equal?29 Apr 2006 02:00 GMT8
I'm getting ready to upgrade my Dell 4600 / 2.66 GHz machine from 512 meg to
something more reasonable (probably 2.5 Gig). In shopping for PC2700 memory,
I'm astounded at the price differences - from ~$36 per stick to over $100.
I'm pretty much tempted to go with lowball and rely ...
System Restore28 Apr 2006 22:52 GMT15
I am buying 3 new Inspiron laptops. One is coming with XP Pro already
installed. The other two only have XP Home (to save cost) as I have two

laptops are replaced.
ATX MOBO28 Apr 2006 20:59 GMT3
Does anyone know if the MOBO from a Dimension 4600 will fit in a standard
ATX case?  Dell says no, but they are often wrong.

The instructions say to "Enter the CMOS" and check certain items. Stuff I
don't know anything about such as "palette snoop"  "Shadow video BIOS/ROM",

Dell Support - How sad it is...28 Apr 2006 06:12 GMT10
I do freelance IT work for this one company, and one of their Dell
Optiplex desktops had developed some strange issues more than six
