When I go to msconfig, which processes do I need to keep. Im down to 37 processes. I do have 512 MB ram which is sufficant, but when I am playing a game sometimes I get a lag. This is also happening when I am working on large graphics.

Visited a friends house yesterday, and the grandkid somehow through msmessenger was sent the worm from someone else's PC, and then opened an attachment. He did not have a very good explanation of how it happened and I don't use MSM so am not totally sure.

Does the Dimension 8400 have just two SATA ports? Are they SATA-I or SATA-II? Is there room in the box for more than two 3.5" hard drives? A friend wants to upgrade, and is wondering how far he can go... Thanks!

I had XP corruption somehow and the PC would not boot. I took it to technicians who did a XP repair and said that you cannot make a boot disk for XP. Is that true?. is there a way to boot the PC into XP from a CD disk?

My refurb gen3 doesn't give a POST beep but boots and runs ok. I've tried the a03 and a05 BIOS with no difference. When I reset the BIOS to default I get one long beep so I know the internal speaker is ok.
