Last Wednesday I ordered a Dell system through their online ordering system. The system came to around $2400. During the checkout process I supplied my MC number. Dell asks if there is a daily limit on the card. Of course, everyone has a daily limit. Mine was $1500.

The CD-RW in my Dell Latitude C640 is acting up, so I'm temporarily using a (old) Iomega "Zip-CD 650" External CD-RW via the USB port. The question is, this is obviously a 650 MB CD-RW, but can I use 700MB CD-R blanks in it (and just ignore the other 50 MB), or *MUST* I use 650 MB ...

| Lost BIOS password on Inspiron 1100 | 26 Feb 2005 16:15 GMT | 10 |
We have an Inspiron 1100 Notebook that someone set the BIOS password on and we've no idea what the password is. Evidently the CMOS battery is hard-wired in (jumpers maybe?) or is there some default Dell password? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dell have just upgraded their 8400 series pc's to contain 630/640/650 processors instead of the 500 series. The difference being the L1 cache is now 2Meg instead of 1. And to think I just ordered a new Dell last Friday and it has the older processor in it at a greater price.
