Inspiron Monitor driver?31 Aug 2004 19:56 GMT2
I am working on a neighbors 1150 that shows plug and play as the installed
driver for the LCD screen. I've looked all over the Dell site for a monitor
driver, but was unable to find one. Therefore, is the Windows native driver
the proper one for this unit?

My original Dimension 8200 was configured with an 80 Gig HD and 512 Meg
RDRAM running Windows XP Home.  I recently added a 250 Gig Western Digital
Harddrive partitioned into two equal sections.   The new harddrive is
recognized by Windows and the BIOS.
System battery question31 Aug 2004 13:20 GMT7
I have an 8300 less than a year old.  I went ahead and installed the SP2

Battery Getting Low) message at startup.  Press F1 to continue of F2 to
enter system setup.  Isn't it pretty rare to have a system ...
can XP pro be used on more than 1 computer31 Aug 2004 10:57 GMT15
Can XP pro, that is coming on my new 2400, be used for other computers in my
house or does each one require a separate version.  I am thinking that my
new computer will not come with the XP pro on a cd but rather on the hard
drive.
Inspiron 8100 HD - 40GB replacement with 80GB gone wrong31 Aug 2004 10:23 GMT4
My 40GB drive in the Inspiron 8100 finally turned up it's toes so I
replaced it with an 80GB Hitachi Travelstar.
I couldn't see any options to register this change with the BIOS but
XP Setup correctly recognised the capacity and (apparently)

For some reason the when sending a fax the modem in my Dell Dimension does

home wireless network question30 Aug 2004 19:57 GMT2
Running winxp on several desktops and laptop.  All is fine for now but
I'm wondering why the desktops can be autoconfigured for tcpip but the
laptop can not.  I've tried but no avail.  As soon as I assign it a
unique IP then it works fine with the network.
