When I try to boot up, I get a message "not a system disk  ..."
I have found that if I put a win98 install disc in the CD it will giv
me the choice of booting from the hard drive,  then I can run Win M
which is on the hard drive but otherwise, it just says replace and hi

I have a friend who did a dumb-a** thing and bought a Compaq Presario
SR1503WM a little over a year ago.
He never created the back-up/rescue CD's and now the PC crashed (I
believe the registry became corrupted, and I may be able to fix that).

Does anyone have the HP spare number for the filler blank that goes into the
MSA 60 storage enclosure?    HP support gave me 389015-001, but when I order
this I get something totally incorrect for the MSA 60...wrong size wrong
style, not hotswappable.

i have a compaq NC6000 and it does not workk any more.

It seems to be the  hard drive (i can launch Windows XP and after 2 or
3 minutes, it freeze.

So I recently installed a new graphics card (GeForce 8600 GT) and
power supply. Everything was working great. I installed the new driver
for the graphics card. Then there was no sound. Re-installed the soun
drivers and everything was dandy again. Computer restarted and boote

HP marketed the Adaptec 2610SA as the HP 6 Port SATA RAID Controller.    I
looked on HP Downloads, but the Windows 2003 "driver" for this controller
isn't a driver at all.   The controller works under Windows XP but doesn't
show up in Device Manager except as an uninstalled "RAID ...

Does the charter of this group include HP, as well as Compaq?

Running Windows XP.  CD drive has stopped working.  It seems to be
spinning but does not read anything.  What can I check?  Thanks.
