my daughter has a compaq presario s4020wm system.it boots up to a black
screen,the green light comes on,the dvd rom tries to boot,the floppy also
tries to boot,we know the monitor works because we tried it on another system,
how can we tell if the onboard video adapter is bad?and ...

My daughter has a NX6110 laptop. There are two issues with it.
1). It can be grindingly slow especially at start-up. Is this because
it's a celeron processor? I've only ever really had full blown P4 or
Athlons so don't really have a means of comparison.

My youngest daughter managed to break the ENTER (RETURN) key and i'm stuck
trying to attach the new key.
I bought one from a spares company on Ebay and it all looks fine, except I
dont know the correct procedure for fixing it in.
