I have a Compaq Presario 2100 (2126EA). When I turn the laptop on (with
external power on), the fan starts up , cdrom spins 1-2 sec.. The power
button is lighting blue. After three sec. the I/O led is blinking, like
the laptop is in sleep-mode, the fan is off. Nothing happes on the

Machine is old Presario 7599 desktop.
Milk was spilled on keyboard while computer was running. Plugged in new
keyboard and system was locked up. After powering off and attempting to
restart, the Compaq splash screen shows up on the monitor, and a flashing

My Compaq Presario (SR1 299AN) is so LOUD! The computer fans often
turn on, and the sound can be overwhelming. I'm not sure why, but it
particularly goes nuts when I open microsoft word and type manually -
and I'm forced to type because the racket drowns out dragon naturally

I just got a pretty old Compaq Deskpro config, really nothing special,
approxx 1,3 GHz, 128 RAM, everything else integrated, and with a small
HDD.
the box wasn'tg opened, so the computer was untouched for like five

Last night I hurriedly went to connect the psu cable to my 2178ea and
put it in another port by mistake. There was a slight crackle and the
computer is now dead with none of the power indicator lights on. I want
to salvage the contents of the hard drive and assume it wont be

hi, i just wanted to know what was the fastest CPU spped you can put
on a proliant 800. I got 1 for free :) and it came with a 350mhz cpu
on it.

I am planning to buy a new laptop for my development related needs.
I already have a 4 year old Dell Inspiron and the new one will replace
it for my technical needs.
I plan to put a Sizable linux partition (Ubuntu) on the system.

Maar ik kom niet verder dan een beschermingsfout van windows (98)
Wie heeft ervaring met installeren van zo'n apparaat zonder recoverydisks?
en kan me op weg helpen???
