I have a Compaq Presario 1200 XL110 with standard 6.4GB hard drive

relatively painless way to upgrade this notebook to a 20 or 40GB HDD?
Any help and info is appreciated.  Thanks.

I'm replacing the hard drive in my Presario SR1011NX.  Should I set the size
of the D drive at the same size as the D drive in the original hard drive or
should I make it as the same percentage size.  I'm replacing a 40G with a
120G.

Deskpro: can't boot from hd, or run setup from floppy; not newbie, have rtfm05 Dec 2006 19:51 GMT15
Posting to c.o.l.s because machine runs only Linux, to a.s.p.c because
it's clearly a Compaq firmware issue, and to c.o.l.h because the
firmware might
as well be hardware, since I don't (yet) know how to change it.
1440 x 90004 Dec 2006 18:24 GMT1
I have a Compaq Presario 6410NX. I just got a new ProView 19"
Monitor for it that requires me to set the resolution to 1440 x 900.
The video card in the computer doesn't offer that setting. Is there a
way around this without getting a new video card?
