I have this inexpensive Presario desktop that came bundled with the OEM
Lightscribe DVD burner. That lasted about a month. Piece of junk.
HP-Compaq sent a replacement, a Samsung lightscribe DVD that is making a
very weird but definitely bad, destructive noise.

Ram and Intel Celeron 544MHz. I upgraded the Disc drive to a CD-RW
(PleXwriter) and Downgraded the Hard drive from a 10Gb Seagate to a
8.4GB Maxtor from a Hewlett-Packard. I had re-installed Windows XP

When I fully open the screen of the laptop at a certain point the backlight
fails, I suspect a connection problem. The HP service center told me they
could fix it for the price of a new one, besides the HP problem (asking too
much) does anyone know this problem ??

Anybody have the pinout for the front panel leads for the Compaq Evo P4 microATX
motherboard, part #308897-001 ?   Can't find anything on the HPaq web site, and
the board is not well marked.   This is a board with two DIMM sockets running

I have a Compaq 12XL125 Laptop Computer which will start, very
occasionally and run for a few minutes and quit.  Here is what has
