Is there an internal DVD burner for the Presario 12XL212?

My original Seagate 10G is damaged, so I am trying to replace it with
WD 120G drive as a master.
However, regardless of various permutations of jumper settings, when I
try to install any OS, it fails on a blue screen error.

I have  4400US 1.3MHz Celeron Processor. Can I upgrade the speed?

I am upgrading my processor to 550 MHZ (the most I can according to HP)....
Question: Do I need to change the heatsink as well? Any other changes? Bios?

I see that Tom's Hardware has released it's annual CPU comparison list.  If your wondering how they stack up side by side before you upgrade you might want to check it out.  From my perspective the AMDs don't overclock as well as Intel's, but dollars to Mhz, they offer more bang ...

I fitted a 2940 SCSI card to my W4000. Adaptec haven't written a driver
for XP to support the 2940 but it works fine with the XP driver. The
problem is when I boot up it stalls and I have to hit F1 for it to
finish booting up. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem

I have a Linksys 802.1B wireless router and a cable modem.  It works fine
because I have two other notebooks at home with PC Card Wireless that works
fine.  My wife's new Presario is not working quite right.  I have the button
pushed and have set up the connection and enabled TCP/IP ...

Ok got the kids matching computer laptops for Christmas, while they work for
what I want, one still has so much crap on the hard disk that I just want to
start it over from scratch.  I can do this without the restore disk, but I
prefer to have all the drivers and utilities put right ...

I can't add more than 1 16Mo RAM on my 4/66 Prolinea.
The total is now 20 Mo.
But I need to add 2x16 Mo I own on the free plugs , but the machine
doesn't want , it boot and boot and boot.

how many volts is supposed to be transmitted from the M700 batteries
and which poles am i supposed to check?
I'd like to test the batteries, it's not so usefull to buy a new battery if

I am looking for a part number for the I/O shield for a Presario 8000. The
MB part number is 262255-001. From left to right, it has the Mouse/KB,
space, Com1, lpte, then stacked 4 port USB. The Tech support in New Delhi
doesn't have a clue. Can anyone help?

A friend gave me 10 Compaq modem pulls from donated PCs.  They didn't
need the modems so he yanked them.  I am putting together some of our
office machines to donate and want to use these modems.  I can't find
the driver anywhere.
