When a power on i have to compaq logo but nothing else.
Notebook make continuous beep, but seem to search something on diskette and
hard drive ... If i power on with FN + F11, he don't beep for 5 secondes but

I got my hands on a few Compaq DeskPro 6000 (Pentium Pro 200)
computers.  After going thru about 20 of them, I have about 6 of them
that won't boot from the floppy disk.
If I install a hard drive and set it all up with the Diagnostic

Does anyone know what is the largest harddive I can install in a Presario
5000t. I want to buy a larger harddrive but I want to be sure the computer

Hi.  I have a deskpro6000, model 6200 with an scsi disk, and a floppy
disk.  some time ago i booted to the setup partition and disabled some
devices i thought i didn't want to use.  then i did a [brilliant] low
level format of the scsi drive.

Looking for any info on a model 461 (p/n 141550-001) SVGA monitor. You
know - the usual end user stuff. Dot pitch (it actually looks better
than most modern monitors so I'm curious what it really is), and sync
frequencies. It appears to maxx out at 800x600x16m colors resolution.

Considering buying a compaq 8000 series desktop
P4 3.0 GHz, 1GB RAM, 160 HD.

I have a new Compaq Presario S4020WM with Windows XP Home and a recovery
partitiion (d:) on the hard drive. Attempts to access anything on the
recovery partition have been unsuccessful. Using Windows Explorer, if I
click the d:drive in the lefthand pane, it lists the files/folders ...

I would like to upgrade the CPU on my 5868, Anyone know (or point me to
where can I find out) what it can support in a faster processor.......

I have a Compaq 1800XL1 with two partitions; Local Disk (C:) and System Save
(D:). The D: partition takes up about 2.3G of HD space. Can I safely delete
the D: partition and thus free up more HD space?
