Bought a nice and cheap Aspire 3680, but it has no DVD burner (maybe that
was stupid of me). It has this backup feature that dynamically (and
slowly) repartitions the hard drive to make room on the hidden backup
partition. This is threatening to take over the hard drive.

Please could anyone tell me why an Aspire 9420's screen would not switch on
when powered up? It was working yesterday and nothing has been done to the
laptop since shutting down then?
Cheers if anyone can answer this as do not have access to the manual at mo.

I am now using an external HD for all of my backup materials.
I can do a System backup through Windeows Explorer but the Acer/Ghost
built-in system will only recognize the split part (D:) of the internal
drive or a CD/DVD drive.

I have a 5610z that is about 5 months old and now after about 4 hours
of inactvity the compputer like goes to sleep and does not wake up by
pressing keys or moving the mouse. All I have set in the poer options
to be on is blank the monitor a after 3 minutes. Any idea's why it is

This is supposed to be Acer's Prestige Line. It is pretty,the cd drive
is hidden behind a door that opens but you can't add a second drive. I
don't know if a second HD can be added, Acer was vague about that. If
you want to upgrade it, better check with Acer. I have been without

Hi people.
According tot he specs on the ACER 9420 notebook series the 9424
should be able to deal with 4GB of Ram. So I installed a matched set
Kingston. And what happens? The bloody thing only sees 3GB! Anybody

I have recently purchased a 5610 running vista home premium. My network
connection constantly drops and i have to reset the lan adapter. Wondered if
anyone else has had this problem. Also can Vista be uninstalled and XP
installed without much problem? Thanks for any info

Not sure if it is right to post here. I bought a Acer E560 PC and faces some
hanging problems. I am using core 2 2.13GHz with Window Vista Premium. I
have 2 hard disk, 250 Gb and 160 gb. I am unsure if it is my pc problem or

It seems there is a wealth of good information on this forum. Can
anyone tell me how to open up the Acer 1522 and remove the HD so I can
replace it with a bigger one. I followed the replace fan thread but it
did not go deep enough.
