bought one 13 months ago ( warranty gone..) and suddenly it wont turn
on. the button goes green motor wont run,  apparently the connector
to the disc isn{t working but because all one piece hace to change
the whole mother board as per acer representatives in argentina;

I bought a Acer 5003 laptop about a month ago and now somebody (wasn't
me) spilled liquid (I don't know what kind of liquid either) in it.
The laptop was on all night playing music and was on in the morning
with liquid all over it. Then I turned it off as soon as I saw it,

As well as not throttling on batteries, my notebook's hard drive now seems
to have died.  I was getting random blue screens in Windows XP and now it
can't complete scandisk.  The hard drive is a Toshiba unit, for which I
couldn't find a diagnostic program, but the Hitachi one ...

The battery finally gave out on this older machine.  Would like to
know where to look in the machine for the battery.  Also is the
battery wired in or a cell type?
