I need to replace the processor on a 2.5 years old acer laptop. How do I find out which ones I can use (besides the power/heat issue?) Its an Acer Travelmate 630 with a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 2.0Ghz - M Thanks

Seems i have to buy a buy a new laptop. i would like to use it with my old installation. (1) Will Microsoft let me? (2) Is it easy, technically (I am mostly concerned if it will boot )

Laptop is dead, shop says its not around where the plug connects, but on the motherboard, and that it would be to expensive to fix. Though I think I was able to supply it from the battery after I couldn't

just acquired an aspire 5002, it has xp home on at the moment. when i get my xp pro "pressie" i want to do a fresh install, i have been to the acer site & downloaded all the drivers,

About the same price. And in some cases the Pentium M is a bit less with roughly the same hardware. Will be using it for CAD applications and some gaming and photo editing. I'm looking at the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi (1.66GHz Duo) or the Acer Travelmate 8104 (Pentium M 2GHz.) Of course ...
