I would like to install a new OS on my Travelmate 350 TE currently
running Win ME and I would like to make a clean install.
I have an external floppy CDROM combo that require an istalled driver
to be used.

Recently I bought the Acer Travelmate 433 LM which supposedly has a
DVD-writer on board. But, software does not detect a writer, and if I look
at the driver installed I see: Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R6112.
I hope it's merely a matter of a wrong driver... But since I cannot get hold

My laptop has a broken display, official ways says that it needs a lot of
money to change it, I would like to know if there's something compatable I
can buy, used or other. The original screen is by QUANTA model QD141XLH3 and
I don't find anything in the net that suggest how to ...

I plugged a Logitech USB scroll mouse in my Acer Travelmate 800 and had it
to work together with the touchpad on WinXP. Two days later, the touchpad
doesn't respond anymore, even if I unplug the USB mouse, even if I reinstall
