Does anyone have any idea why my router would constantly drop and the
re-connect my Internet connection?  This is a Dlink DI-624 connected to
a Speedtouch DSL modem.  My ISP is of no help. I've tried power cycling
the modem and router.

I got a Thinkpad T42 from work. Whenever I disable WEP or WPA security
on the wireless portion, it has trouble connecting to them. It may even
have trouble seeing them in the list of wireless networks. Turn the
security back on, and it sees them at full strength again. Wierd.

Do hubs amplify signals.  In other words could you use a hub and two 75 foot
cables to extend a signal to a computer that was located 150 feet from a
router?

I've had a problem develop over the last few months. I have two XP
computers with GB cards, one Intel the other Realtec wired into a
Netgear hub. The client comp has slowly lost it ability to reach any
resources on the host, it can't see the shared printers or the shared

I'm trying to connect p2p win2000 and winME stations. I use on both
station a wireless USB adaptor of edimax. I can get a ping from both
stations. but I CANT see the computers on "My Network Places"/"My

right now im using dlink di-604. but it keeps losing internet
connection. unplugging and replugging the power cord restores
connection. i have 19  pc's and im also using a dlink 24 port switch
and a cable modem (512kbps).
