I have three computers on a wireless network.  Originally I just wanted to
use the internet on all three, but now I would also like to share a printer
rather than buying another one.

Sorry if this is a FAQ; it's a one-time situation for me and I

I have recently moved into a home that already has a small

password protecetd and I don't know the password. Does anybody in this
mailing list know how to reset the password or the defaul password on these
switches? The sofware version is 2.1.

I just got a Microsoft WiFi kit thinking that I could use the laptop
card to wirelessly talk to my new Canon iP4000R printer and eventually
set up the base station on a desktop.  But I don't have (or want) a
broadband internet connection.  I just want the computers and printer

I am kind of new to this, so bear with me. Anyway, the problem that I am
having:
I have a Linksys Wireless G Router that I have hooked on the bottom
floor of my friend's 3 story house. Reception on the top floor is poor

In attempting to set up a simple network between two XP machines for my son,
when I run the network setup wizard on the second machine, I receive an
error, which says, " Error Message: Spooler Subsystem App Has Encountered a
Problem and Needs to Close"  this is found on Microsoft ...

Can only get this to connect at 10Mbps. I know the port and lan cable
is OK because my colleague can use my connection and gets 100Mbps. And
I can also only get 10Mbps on his cable.
PC is an IBM Intellistation M Pro.

I have my laptop with a wireless card to connect to my wireless router.
   the system says it connected and thet the signal is excellent,
however, IE and netscape can't find it. If I remove the card and use the
ethernet cable it's the same thing.??

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask. But I am wondering if
anyone out there happens to know the packet loss ratio of ethernet. For
example, if machine A sends a packet using MAC layer multicast to
machine B and C, what's the chance that machine B receives this packet

just bought this router (origo brp-1400 4 port with usb printer server)
but i am baffald how to connect it to my modem if there is just 1 usb
and one phone socket on my bt voyager 100.

I'm trying to connect two jacks together using a cat 5 cable. One
jack will be connected to a computer, the other a router. It'll be
like this; computer <-> patch cable <-> jack <-> cable <-> jack
<-> patch cable <-> router.

I'am using the same copy of Windows 2000 Pro and Windows 2003 Standard
for 3 years, and a have installed them over a hundred times.
Suddenly, when I tried to install it again on a fresh system (both W2k
