I run a home LAN using an Alcatel Speedtouch 510 ADSL Router and I'm using its inbuilt DHCP server. This works fine, but I've just added a new PC to the LAN and I'm having some problems. What appears to be happening is that the SIS 900 Ethernet devices on the 2 newest

What I'm trying to achieve is, connecting two PC's which are in different buildings about 100 meters apart. I've tried linking them with 100 meter bluetooth dongles without success. I believe this is because bluetooth is for indoors only.

I have a problem in that I do not know the best way to set up a router/firewall on a Windows NT network using Small Business Server. What I would like to do is to have the router attached to the switch and have a dialup modem attached to the router for interent access.

| Networking two RJ-45 drops | 28 Jun 2004 04:53 GMT | 5 |
This may be a very trivial question, but I'm at my wits end. I have a run of straight through cat5 cable that terminates into two RJ-45 connectors, one on each end. One end needs to go into a Netgear FS116 switch, the other end, is for a PC. I have determined that the run of
