I recently connected an Inspiron 600m via wireless access point to my
router. Both AP (WAP11b) and router (BEFSR41) are Linksys. I now have two
desktops (XP and WIN98) wired to the router in addition to the wireless
laptop. All share a broadband cable. Before hooking up the wireless

I set up a wireless system from my desktop to my laptop and it was pretty
easy and it is working great.  One problem though:  I backup data from my
desktop to my laptop on a frequent basis and it is really slow since I

My wireless connection keeps dropping out to my severe annoyance.
Yes I know - old subject - many have written about it but I haven't been

What is the recommended level of security for a home wireless network?
I have turned off DHCP serving, my AP will only assign a static IP address
to the MAC on my laptop. The way it is set up, my laptop is the only

I have heard about WiFi hotspots, which as I understand are the

I upgraded from a 802.11b linsys router/ap to a linksys 802.11g...had a

Got a big problem.
Just bought a Linksys WAG54G from NickKnows.com and it doesn't work!
I can get my Centrino laptop to talk to it wirelessly...and can use that or
a ethernet cable to browse onto the admin web page...but it will not find
