In my configuration report of my HP 4000m Procurve switch there lists a section for Spanning Tree Operation, then a listing of ports and a priority number. I just barely understand this end of IT, but realize a lower number represents higher priority. However, if my config

| Embedded Ethernet and Corporate LAN | 30 Aug 2005 10:35 GMT | 12 |
We have an embedded system, that has a SMSC 91C111 Ethernet Chip, ARM Processor, and Windows CE 3.0. Our system works great when not exposed to a "Corporate Ethernet" environment. When we put our system on a DSL line, it works great. We get massive buffer overflows on a typical ...

| Losing connection... | 25 Aug 2005 17:20 GMT | 1 |
I'm not 100% sure whether this is an Exchange issue, or something on our network, but either way it is very strange... I have a 3com powered network, 4x 4200's, and a 4400 which is the central one. I've disabled Broadcast Storm Control (which I thought

| Linksys Lies! WAPPOE(12) isn't 802.3af !! | 22 Aug 2005 22:04 GMT | 10 |
I got a couple of sets of the Linksys WAPPOE12 Power-Over-Ethernet boxes for putting WiFi APs in distant places without needing AC power nearby, and checked very carefully to ensure that they were 802.3af PoE, as I didn't want one of the non-compliant PoE kludges, so I could
