We've just got our first DSL service here in the USA with Windstream. We're using a ActionTec modem (GT704-wg) and Windstream (used to be Alltel) tells us that the line has been DSL-enabled for a week now, but the DSL light on the modem keeps flashing.

I currently having a working DSL setup with Verizon using a Zoom x6 modem. The business this is for is changing their plan with Verizon such that, rather than having a single dynamic IP address, we'll be getting 5 static IP addresses.

In italy we use PPPoA with vpi/vci (8,35) with every ISP. In DSLAM the ATM switch change these values? or how is it possible to demultiplex traffic between every user? Thanks in advance.

I am new to DSL. I came from Dial up. I installed everything yesterday. I get my DSL through my local phone co - Embarq/Sprint. I have tried to connect Blubster (file sharing service) and it will not connect. I have no problem when I connect through Dial up.
