Why is my connection breaking!?!31 Jul 2005 22:49 GMT8
Hey, I need some help desperately.  I've got a 2wire 1000SW Homeportal.
It used to work fine but now it seems like every other minute the
connection breaks and the broadband light starts flashing orange for
about 30 seconds or so.  I can't really download or play any games
Dead SBC Yahoo DSL Modem - What Is Best Option?30 Jul 2005 19:26 GMT2
We have had SBC DSL for about 4 years and have been using the same
modem we received it our original self-installation kit. It is a
SpeedStream 5260 and always worked fine.
Last night, I came home and realized I could not connect to the web. I
Question about new SBC/Yahoo DSL30 Jul 2005 05:47 GMT4
Once you order SBC/Yahoo DSL about how long does it take them to ship
your modem and installation kit, and activate your DSL?  I'm planning
to do the self-install wth inside filters.  So I presume no one even
has to come to my house.  Thanks.

Sprint 256Kb DSL for $32/mo.?  Is this a joke?29 Jul 2005 15:49 GMT3
I'm pricing DSL in SW Florida and Sprint is coming up with $31.99/mo for
256K, and $41.99/mo for 1.5M.     Up north, I can get SBC DSL at 1.5M for
only $14.95/mo.    Comcast HSI is also available in the area, but that runs
about $40/mo.   Anybody know if Sprint prices DSL this ...
Bizarre and aggravating DSL problem28 Jul 2005 20:00 GMT2
I had DSL working through a SpeedStream 5200 modem connected to the USB
port on my PC running Windows XP. 2 other PCs, both running XP
networked to the main PC through a Netgear EN104 hub shared that DSL
connection with no problems.
Windows 2000 drops internet connection28 Jul 2005 19:38 GMT1
I have a PC with windows 2000 professional that keeps dropping the
internet connection.  However, I have TWO fairly exact copies of this
running on the PC, one on each of two drives.  The version on the D:

Linksys BEFSR41 Router question.28 Jul 2005 19:25 GMT10
I bought this for our SBC Yahoo DSL hook up off the modem. The software
that comes with it is the question. Do I have to install the software
on each computer that we will be hooking up to the router or just one?
dsl signal only present when phone is live28 Jul 2005 19:11 GMT9
I have a Teledat 301 modem connected to a network card. The modem is
connected to a splitter. I can only get a DSL signal if I press the
dial button on my phone. As soon as I dissconnect the phone, I lose my
DSL signal. Unplugging the phone from the splitter does not seem to
1Mpbs vs 512 kbps28 Jul 2005 18:53 GMT4
I currently have 4 512Kbps ADSL lines for internet access. I am thinking
of switching to 2 1Mbps lines instead, which will save us in therms of
monthly line rental and using 2 adsl router instead of 4.
I managed to figure out only one main drawback: both the 512 kbps and
USB to Ethernet connection?28 Jul 2005 18:36 GMT3
Just talked to SBC to get their DSL and the rep said I need to
have an ethernet port on my computer.  My couple of years old Dell does
not have that - only have couple of USB ports (probably 1.0).  Is there
a converter of some kind that I can buy to get around this?  Would
