Maximizing DSL Throughput27 Apr 2005 16:49 GMT5
The best down speed I was getting from DSLExtreme was 681 kbps. I
contacted their technical support who, in turn, contacted Verizon, my
telephone company.
Verizon sent out a technician who found troubles in both their lines
Evidence of Lousy Verizon Tech Support25 Apr 2005 17:35 GMT6
You want to see evidence of pathetic Verizon OnLine Tech Support?
Check out these actual conversations which took place over the past two
months.  Bottom line: Stay away from Verizon.....

Turned off my computers, left the modem on (all lights on the modem
indicated that it was well - green).

Cisco 678 - Can I limit DSL Up / Down Rates?12 Apr 2005 13:10 GMT7
I have Qwest standalone 1.5 Down / 864 Up DSL service at a store location
that is near the distance limit from the CO.  My connection is marginal, so
my Cisco 678 is retraining quite frequently.
Qwest has concluded that the best solution is to slow down the line.
