It just dawned on my that my new Covad account has an upload speed of 128k and a
download speed of a thousand-and-something k.

I'm thinking about getting SBC DSL, but I had my voice line turned off
years ago, and use my mobile phone exclusively for voice.
I went to the SBC signup site, but I don't have a phone number to enter

I´m facing an annoying problem with a Dlink DSL-502G and Windox XP
SP2.
Everything seems to be working ok, except the DHCP server.
The Dlink is working as a router, and yes, the DHCP server is enabled.

lack of activity. I also have a cable broadband line that is always on.

It came with a "configuration program" on a CD. The program wants to run
with Administrator privileges on my W2K computer. I don't like to run

I have just started using Verizon DSl and I am using Westell 327 DSL
Modem/Router which can connect to 4 computers.   Currently I am using
Internet on one of my computer which has XP operating system.  I have

I've tried to run a simple test to surface my local webserver on the web.
I've removed DHCP from the PC and hard coded its IP to 10.0.0.2. Following

I have 2 computers (a desktop and a laptop) and a wireless router. The
desktop is connected to internet (through USB) and to the router (via
ethernet). The laptop has a WiFi connection to the router. The IPs and

I have DSL with BellSouth, connecting through a USB DSL modem.  This
does not allow me to hook up a router, so I'd like to buy a new one.
BellSouth wants $100 for a Westell 6100.  I did a quick search on eBay,
and found DSL modems for about $15 delivered.  Thinking about buying
