I'm sending this on behalf of someone who would prefer not to identify
himself or his company.
He is responsible for a corporate network connecting a main site to
about 20 branch sites.  Right now the branch sites are connected with

I'm currenlty having a problem keeping a stable connection to my sbc
dsl service.  I got a new 5100 modem and tried using the pppoe
software on the modem but then I could not get to my webserver.  I
then setup my linksys router to do the pppoe and the connection is

This is my second day with SBC-Yahoo DSL on the 5-light 5100b modem.
Every so often the Activity light blinks when nothing has caused it to... no
POPs being polled, no web page changes... nothing happening on my end.
Sometimes it will be every few minutes... sometimes between 20 to ...

I use an Alcatel wireless ADSL router to connect my fileserver and
three PC's to the internet. At the same time another PC links

I run linux as my desktop OS (Slackware 9.1)
I signed up with SBC Yahoo DSL the other day. Today my modem arrived. It came
with a yellow CD that runs only on Windows, not Linux (obviously). There were
