I'm looking for ADSL high speed connection provider. But I can't find over 1.5Mbps connection speed in US. Actually When I lived in Japan, I could get 8Mbps, 12Mbps, and more high speed connection. But it's very cheap price just 3000 JPY (= 25 USD) per month.

| disabling routing on CellPipe??? | 26 Sep 2003 21:06 GMT | 1 |
I've been using a Lucent CellPipe 50A (the ADSL version) for a year, using the DHCP and NAT features. For reasons unrelated to DSL (mostly VPN), I want to put in a Snapgear Lite appliance between the CellPipe and the LAN. Since the Snapgear is a lot easier to configure than the

| Win2k Server gateway problems. | 26 Sep 2003 12:29 GMT | 1 |
Windows 2000 Server drops Internet Connection... ...or something. What would be the best way to chase this down? Earthlink sent a client of mine a VisionNet E200ER "brouter" for a new PPPoE DSL install. I've got it connected to a Win2k Server with two NICs,

I just picked up a Mac G4/466 with built-in ethernet. I want to get DSL (384/1500K speed) and I'm pretty sure I want to get my own modem rather than lease one from the ISP. Within a few months, though, I'll be picking up a Dell Dimension 4600

| EMI interference and modem loss sync, shield? | 25 Sep 2003 03:32 GMT | 5 |
The noise margin on my line will suddenly drop and knock out the sync. I suspect it may have something to do with outside EMI interference (or 900 Mhz cordless phone in the same room?). Does anyone have any idea how to shield the modem against EMI? FYI, I have Westell ...

| PPPoEoA RFC1483 encap question | 24 Sep 2003 20:50 GMT | 2 |
It seems the de-facto standard for PPPoEoA encaps is RFC1483 bridged encaps using LLC mux. That's fine. My question is, does anyone know of any equipment that supports VC-muxed 1483 bridged encaps?
