I have been a Sun admin now for about 6 years. I have always been more
interested in security than anything else and I am thinking about
writing some cisco security certs. I want to buy a used cisco router
from eBay. I have been looking at the 2500 and 2600 series. For
network address translation (nat) issue30 Dec 2006 11:34 GMT4
Is it possible to setup NAT in such a way that hosts from the inside
network can reach other inside hosts that  are statically nated ? (I
mean NAT that translates, in reality, from ip nat inside interface to
another ip nat inside interface). If so, how can this be achieved.
Cisco & T1 multiplexing30 Dec 2006 09:50 GMT3
I have a situation where my T1 demarc are coming in one building, but
my Cisco router (and WICs, obviously), are in another.  Currently, I've
got 2 T1's coming in, and I'm using existing copper phone line to run
them across the campus to the router.  This works, but not for long.

Packets from one specific interface on a 1711 at a remote site need to
be tagged so they can be routed differently by a 3745 at headquarters.
I've started reading about Policy Based Routing and it looks like this
technology will enable me to solve this problem.  Are there any cavets

Little help with frame relay upgrade29 Dec 2006 15:46 GMT4
We are currently upgrading our wan links from 64k frame relay
connections to full T1 frame relay connections. Currently each branch
site has a Cisco 2610 router with an external 64k CSU/DSU connected. We
will be swapping those out for Cisco internal WIC-1DSU-T1 cards (v1).
Monitoring Squid logs in Content Engine 51129 Dec 2006 03:39 GMT2
I have 5 remote offices, each with a Content Engine 511 at the site.  I
have noticed, once in awhile, high WAN bandwidth utilization.  Result
was due to an infected workstation.  At the HQ operations, we see the
source address of the high bandwidth as the CE.  Which makes sense
Syslog and CiscoWorks29 Dec 2006 03:36 GMT1

messages from an external syslog server to the default syslog server
that comes with RME?
Cisco 871W Wireless Associated but no DHCP29 Dec 2006 01:09 GMT3
I have been trying to setup my Cisco 871 W router to use LEAP
authentication.  I am following Cisco's instructions and I haven't
added anything else to my config.  Each time the wireless client is
able to authenticate and associate but is unable to get an IP address.
