Setting up outside SSH on a DHCP interface30 Nov 2006 17:27 GMT2
I am working on setting up an external SSH connect to my pix501 however
I was told that because my outside interface is set as DHCP that it
wouldnt work.  I think there may be an ability to create an alias for
that interface that references the real IP address.  Anyone have any
spanning-tree root command30 Nov 2006 10:22 GMT6
I've got a couple dozen switches and noticed the root is the furthest,
slowest switch on the network. If I change the root to the core will
this cause a convergence and cause all switches to
"listen/learn/forward" on all ports?

Cisco > ASA5500 > Setting up a NAT address to a port.29 Nov 2006 19:10 GMT2
I have having trouble setting up a NAT translation rule for a port that
I want to redirect to a server.  I currently have one that does work,
and I have basically copied that rule, changing the port number but
still no luck.

I am interested in what software people are using in the day to day
maintenance and monitoring of their cisco equipment.
What tftp software do you use to transfer your configs?
What software do you use for maintaining/keeping track of all your configs?

I am setting up a Cisco 1841 with an external ADSL modem and Firewall
IOS. Essentially, I want to map SMTP (25) on the Public Interface to an
internal server on the same port and port 9833 (custom port) to the
same internal server but on port 3389 (MS-RDP).
